Visual FX

What skills will I learn on a Visual FX course?

Our Visual FX courses are among the best in the country. There are a range of Visual FX courses for Film and Make-up, you will learn technical skills bespoke to the industry, as well as gaining the ability to interact with various media and use complex materials and software for visual effects in your specialism, including programming for special effects and conceptualising your projects through to final production.

Alongside this, you will learn the soft skills which would aid you in a multitude of roles and careers within the Visual FX industry and beyond, such as aspects of professional practice including how to prepare a portfolio for an interview. We also teach students how to market their work effectively through online portfolios and social media, time management, adaptability, confidence, resilience, interview skills, and many more.

If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the Visual FX Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the Visual FX subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
