What is the learning and assessment structure like for Community Development and Youth Work?

Community Development and Youth Work assignments mostly rely on demonstrating your theoretical knowledge from your classes in your fieldwork. There may be an exam or reviews of your fieldwork portfolio at key stages. Other assignments could be essays, reports, poster presentations, powerpoints, role play, or event planning, for example.

You can find more about the assessment of each course on the specific course page. All elements of the course will include independent learning and taught elements, so there will be a combination of lectures, workshops, and tutorials to review your work and how you are implementing your theoretical knowledge into practice.

If you have any other inquiries relating to this you can contact the Community Development and Youth Work Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the Community Development and Youth Work subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
