Civil Engineering

What is the learning and assessment structure for Civil Engineering?

Civil Engineering assignments will depend on the course you choose, though courses mostly rely on theoretical and practical exercises, which include lab work. There may be an exam or larger projects in the final year, which you can find more details about the assessment of each course on the specific course page. All elements of the course will include independent learning and taught elements, so there will be a combination of lectures, workshops and tutorials to review your work and how you are implementing your theoretical knowledge into practice.

If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the Civil Engineering Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the Civil Engineering subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
