What is means tested and non-means tested funding?
'Means tested’ relates to funding that depends on your household income. ‘Non-means tested’ does not depend on your household income. The Student Loans Company assess your household income to determine your entitlement, which is also based on your decision to study full-time or part-time.
The tuition fee loan is available to all eligible UK full-time students regardless of household income and is 'non-means tested'.
If you have any questions regarding eligibility please get in touch with our Student Funding Team at studentfunding@bolton.ac.uk.
