English and Creative Writing

What is the teaching and assessment structure for English and Creative Writing?

English and Creative Writing students are taught to use a variety of literary techniques, developed from their reading, lives, observations, and inspirations. Lectures are composed of reading contemporary text, discussing how it works, and writing creatively based on our discussion. All aspects of learning include independent learning and taught elements, so there will be a combination of lectures, workshops, and tutorials.

If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the English and Creative Writing Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the English and Creative Writing subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
