English and Creative Writing

Is there a place where I can work on my English and Creative Writing projects outside of lecture times?

Yes, we have ample room in our Library and Social Learning Zone (SLZ) for you to work independently or in a group, including a writers zone for those who benefit from peace and quiet while working independently. Please note that access may be limited due to COVID-19 measures*

The library has copies of the course textbooks and literature, as well as a wide selection of other materials beneficial for your studies or reading pleasure. Additionally, there are a wide range of digital resources and journals available via Moodle and your student portal for remote working too. For reading recommendations please see your recommended reading list.

If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the English and Creative Writing Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the English and Creative Writing subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
