Computing

Is there a place where I can work on my Computing projects outside of lecture times?

Computing Courses have access to computing labs, a dedicated computing room in the library containing higher specification PCs for students from Creative Technologies courses, the library, and Social Learning Zone (SLZ). Work placements may also offer areas for you to conduct your studies in another professional environment.

The library is open 24/7, though access may be restricted due to COVID-19 measures.

The library or Social Learning Zone (SLZ) are usually available to work on research or academic writing, however, access is limited due to COVID-19. There are a wide range of digital resources and journals available via Moodle and your student portal. For recommendations please see your recommended reading list.

If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the Computing Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the Computing subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
