I need to defer my attendance – how do I do this?

You may have extenuating circumstances as to why you are unable to attend your graduation and wish to defer to the following year.  If this is the case, please email a deferral request directly to: as soon as possible.  Please ensure that you note your full name and Student ID number in your email communication with the Graduation team.

Please ensure that you explain the extenuating reasons as to why you are unable to attend on this occasion.  Your email will be forwarded to the Executive Management team for consideration and approval.  

You will be contacted further to advise whether or not the University has granted your deferral to 2024.  Please note that until you have received this decision in writing, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to attend a future ceremony.
