Advice and Guidance

How long until I receive an offer?

All applications that we receive are processed in date order. Therefore, the earlier you apply, the earlier the Admission Team will be able to process it. You will receive email confirmations at various stages of your application, and the Admissions Team will request information if anything further is required beyond the documents you have provided at the beginning of the application demonstrating that you meet the course entry requirements.

Please bear in mind that the Admissions Team requires all the relevant documentation in order for them to make a decision on your application. You will find all entry requirements as well as other important information on the specific subject area pages. If you cannot upload your documents when completing the application form please send them to qualifications@bolton.ac.uk preferably in PDF format and no more than 10MB, at your earliest convenience.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.

We do try to process applications as swiftly as possible and have a decision made in a timely manner, however, there are many different reasons the process can be held up. For instance - scheduling interviewing courses, applications that are incomplete, referral to partner institutions or to the department, missing documents, references, or other course-specific requirements that require time.

To find out more about our application and admissions processes including offer information please see our How to Apply and Admissions page. Alternatively, you can call us on 01204 903 394 or email admissions@bolton.ac.uk.

Please note that periods before intakes and Clearing are extremely busy for our Admissions Team, and therefore late applications are likely to have delays in processing.
