Are there any work placements or industry involvement on Dental Technology course?
Work placements are part of the Dental Technology course, and are important to allow you to apply your skills and theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios alongside your studies.
Two modules on the programme are work-based and we are working with the UK's largest dental laboratory company to allocate placements to every student. The rest of your time you will be studying in taught classes or independently. Technical seminars are held on a regular basis which introduce students to the latest materials, techniques and technologies. Employers attend Industrial Advisory Boards to assist us with keeping the course up to date.
If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the Dental Technology Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the Dental Technology subject area.
You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.
Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.
Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
