Special Effects and Make-Up

Would I need to buy any specific kit or materials for my Special Effects and Make-up course?

Our creative courses such as Special Effects and Make-up provide all the basic tools you need whilst on-campus. You will be provided with a kit on arrival, which is free of charge and consists of industry-standard materials and tools to get you started. Basic materials will also be provided throughout the duration of the course and we have a stock room that will supply you with everything you need to complete each module, though some materials may be limited or by request to your Personal Tutor.

You may wish to replicate these techniques at home or other facilities that will require you to purchase them, or if you want to experiment with media not covered within classes, for example.

If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the Special Effects and Make-Up subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
