English and Creative Writing

What skills will I learn on an English and Creative Writing course?

English and Creative Writing are the most foundational of degrees you can take at university, and one valued by employers. You will learn to meet deadlines, to think and read critically, to express your ideas clearly and succinctly, as well as to demonstrate analytic and communication skills that are highly transferable to all sectors.

We teach aspects of professional practice including time management, adaptability, confidence, resilience, interview skills, and many more.

If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the English and Creative Writing Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the English and Creative Writing subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
