Psychology

What is the teaching and assessment structure for Psychology courses?

Undergraduate Psychology courses do have a variety of assessment types throughout the course. You will be expected to write essays, reports, deliver presentations, participate in virtual learning activities, and innovative assessments designed to hone your understanding of psychological practices. You may also be required to get involved in peer negotiations, debates, workshops, sit exams, or summarise key topics in poster presentations or podcast formats. All elements of the course will include independent learning and taught elements, so there will be a combination of lectures, workshops and tutorials to review your work and how you are implementing your theoretical knowledge into practice, as well as a 60 hour placement in your third-year.

If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the Psychology Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the Psychology subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
