Visual FX

What is a Visual FX foundation course for and what should I expect?

Visual FX foundation programmes are a year-long programme that will help prepare you for study at HE4, which is year one of undergraduate study, you will learn academic skills for study, as well as creative skills which will be core to your undergraduate degree studies.

Our Visual FX foundation courses offer an introductory study into Visual FX. The emphasis is on creativity, with specialisation on the route that you want to follow. Key topics include research skills, conceptualising and drafting, and introductions to using industry recognised technologies and Visual FX applications. The focus of the foundation course is on practical work, and our dedicated Visual FX Team will work to help you develop the skills required to bridge the gap between further and higher education, preparing you to move onto the degree course.

If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the Visual FX Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the Visual FX subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
