Health and Social Care

Would I need to buy any specific kit or materials for my Health and Social Care course?

The majority of the materials are provided and you should not necessarily need to purchase any specific kit or materials for your course. The Health and Social Care Team will be happy to advise you on anything you may need that assists you to prepare for your studies.

You may be expected to purchase things such as books, fob watch and appropriate footwear as appropriate for work placements depending on your course, though you may already have some of these things, and the #UniAsItShouldBe scheme can help you to purchase some of these items, including stationary, books and other student essentials.

For all the details on the specific Health and Social Care courses or if you have any other enquiries relating to this please visit the Health and Social Care subject area, you will also find contact details of the Health and Social Care Team if would like to speak to them directly.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
