Why do I have to make an appointment to see a Disability Advisor, or attend drop-in sessions at a specific time? Why can't I just drop-in at any time?
Making an appointment allows time for the Disability Advisors to work on issues relating to disabled student’s cases. We spend a considerable amount of time liaising with other agencies both within the University and outside the University (with your permission) in order to put the correct level of support and reasonable adjustments in place. We need some time to deal with these administrative tasks as well as appropriately developing the service.
You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.
Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.
Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
Please contact the Disability Team for more information on 01204 903 478 or email: disabilityinfo@bolton.ac.uk, more information can also be found here.
