Helping students learn to budget

Managing finances at university can be a challenge – set your students on the right path by helping introduce them to budget planners and other ways to manage their finances.

Some forward planning now will help them gain confidence in understanding budgeting on a termly, weekly or monthly basis. This helps avoid students having big overdrafts to repay or being stuck for money halfway through the year.

The planner provides a look at university costs students need to budget for and how to balance these against the money they have coming in. It also has a few hints and tips on how best to manage their finances.

Download the UCAS student budget planner for a good budget planner and more tips on saving for university.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
