Law

Are there any work placements or industry involvement on a Law course?

We have a strong focus on the employability of our students, and work placements are available for our students, to this end, we have excellent links with both local and regional law firms. In addition, all students will spend at least 1 semester in our very own Legal Advice Centre, working on live legal matters for the general public, under the supervision of a solicitor. The Law courses are involved with Law agencies to maintain and adapt the appropriate learning content in an ever-evolving sector. This ensures your readiness for employment and the ability to transfer your theoretical and work-placement skills. Guest visitors from the sector are regularly involved in activities, and tutors are happy to recommend other professional activities that will be beneficial to your professional development. For the rest of your time, you will be studying in taught classes or independently.

If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the Law Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the Law subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
