Early Years and Childhood Studies

Is there a place where I can work on my Early Years and Childhood Studies projects outside of lecture times?

The library is open 24/7 and the Social Learning Zone (SLZ) is usually available to work on research or academic writing, however, access is limited due to COVID-19. Most of the work you do outside of class will be fieldwork and there will be appropriate facilities that you can access on location too, you can contact your tutor or the mentor from the place of your fieldwork when you begin.

There are a wide range of digital resources and journals available via Moodle and your student portal. For recommendations please see your recommended reading list or contact a Programme Leader or tutor.

If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the Early Years and Childhood Studies Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the Early Years and Childhood Studies subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
