Medical Biology

Are there any work placements or industry involvement on Medical Biology courses?

Work placements are optional, however, you will have the opportunity to partake in one during the final year of your Medical Biology degree. They are valuable because they allow you to apply your skills and theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios alongside your studies.

The course was written following consultation with our Industrial Advisory Board. Members of this board regularly speak to students regarding professional opportunities in their sector and therefore the skills you learn on the course are strongly aligned to the skills you will need when you progress to a carer in the Medical Biology Field.

If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the Medical Biology Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the Medical Biology subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
