Sports Development and Coaching

Are there any work placements on Sport Development and Coaching course?

Work placements are a mandatory inclusion on the programme as stipulated by the professional accrediting body - Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA). Work placements are a great way for you to learn from practitioners and apply your theoretical knowledge in practice.

In the 2nd year, you have a year-long work experience module, where you will complete an industry placement for a minimum of 100 hours, develop professional skills and enhance your graduate outcomes.

If you have any other enquiries relating to this you can contact the Sports Development and Coaching Team to discuss, their contact details can be found at the bottom of the specific course page by searching the Sports Development and Coaching subject area.

You can also chat with our staff directly every Wednesday from 2 pm - 4 pm and periodically throughout the working week.

Alternatively, chat with our current students who will be able to share this information with you and any other course-related queries.

Or book onto one of our Open Days or Course Advice Days to find out more and speak with the team.
